Good morning and happy new years to anyone and everyone. Lets start this year right with big love going to everybody and joy being felt by all.
2013 begins but I will not let it derail me from my blogging and the current challenge that I have undertaken. Today is the 5th day of 30 so there is still a ways to go. Now there are literally millions of quotations out there so this one has me returned to the same level of previous difficult selections.
For example, the wonderful sentiment of hope within The Crow "It can't rain all the time" giving us reason to believe that even though this film has a dark tale to tell, we can still hope for our protagonist.
Or maybe the wonderful monologue that closes out Blade Runner "I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched c-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain. Time to die." Proving that it is not what is in our outside or even on our inside, but what is within our soul is what makes us human.
So many films have great moments and produce great quotations. "Use the force Luke!" or "I am your father" or even "Great shot kid that was one in a million".
But there is one quote for me that has stood above the others and it comes from Hook, the most wonderful adaptation of the story of Peter Pan. "To live would be an awfully big adventure" So very true. When we are children we day dream out adventures and even play with our imaginations running wild that we are swashbuckling with pirates and fighting indians but just by a few years change, we are living the greatest adventure.
Peace out folks
